British-Iraqi rapper Lowkey has marked his comeback to the rap scene with a new music video titled ‘The return of Lowkey’.
Lowkey, well known for his voicing his views on current affairs and political issues. Maybe taking inspiration from hip-hop legends such as Tupac and KRS-One, he has used conscious hip-hop to speak out about racism, police brutality, global poverty and terrorism.
In his career, the conscious rapper has collaborated with artists such as Immortal Technique, Dead Prez and Canibus. He appeared on Young Noble’s mixtape Outlaw Rydahs Vol.1 on a track called ‘In The End’ which also featured Hospin.
His new video dropped January 23rd on GRM Daily. Alongside the new video, he has also announced ‘Soundtrack To The Struggle 2’ tour kicking off in April.
