Vegas Night Tupac BMW On Pawn Stars
The car Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in was recently featured on the hit TV series Pawn Stars.
The episode titled Rings and Rap Kings aired last Monday, 22nd January, on the History channel and is a momentous occasion as the show reaches the 500 episode mark.
In this episode you can see Chumlee and Rick visit “Celebrity Cars” showroom, in Las Vegas, where the BMW currently is up for auction. The episode shows that the car has been restored and has been used since the shooting in 1996.
The car, a black 1996 BMW 7 series, was being driven by Death Row records owner Marion ‘Suge’ Knight on the night of September 7th 1996, with Tupac in the front passenger seat. The pair were sat at a set of traffic lights at East Flamingo and Koval Lane on the Vegas strip, with their entourage behind them, when a car pulled up alongside them and shot into the BMW. The result of the shooting was that Tupac was left fighting for his life. He then died on September 13th, six days after the shooting.
Pawn Stars knowing the significance of the car, describing Tupac as ‘The Jimmi Hendrix of Hip-Hop’ and describe the car as a ‘unique piece’.
