YutiBeatz Talks Amsterdam, Tupac, Outlawz

Tupac and the Outlawz influence has impacted millions worldwide. Hip hop artist and beat maker Yuti is no different as he shares his first introduction to the O4L movement, talks growing up in Amsterdam and more!

O4LOnline:
How did you link up with the Outlawz?

Yuti:
I already followed Young Noble on twitter for almost 6 years and he followed me too but we never had a chat. Last year I found his email and send him an email and told him what i wanted to do and his reaction was priceless.

O4LOnline:
I guess it’s accurate to say growing up you were a Tupac and Outlawz supporter?

Yuti:
Since I was 12 years old. Grown up with this, laughed with this, smoked with this, cried with this.

O4LOnline:
Was it a particular song or moment that got you hooked?

Yuti:
It was on TV, I was in the living room I remember and I saw 2pac Changes on TV. Didn’t understand a word then, but the vibe and the power of the way he told something was the key, after a couple of times I met people of my neighborhood they had more songs of 2pac and Outlawz. 2pac Breathin festuring Outlawz that is the song I heard first where I heard Outlawz and where my love for this became bigger.

O4LOnline:
It really shows how this movement is worldwide and still till this day affects millions. Where are you originally from?

Yuti:
Im Turkish, born and raised in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

O4LOnline:
Tell us about yourself and the whole movement you rep out in Amsterdam.

Yuti:
Living my whole life in Amsterdam, tried so many times to get in the game with my own thing. Tried it with a lot of people who was already in it or had the connections to do it. But you know how it works, they tell you how to talk and how to walk the walk. I’m not that type, even my parents couldn’t do that, why should someone who I don’t even know tell me shit like that.

Yeah, I started only with rapping. I couldn’t get the beats. I wanted exclusive beats and no mixtape stuff. So I learned how to make beats and get my own sound. That took years! With all emotions in it. Hip hop was dead the sound changed, I quit and started again, over and over again.

But the most important thing was for me never lose hope and waited for the perfect timing! And that is this. I told my plans to the big homies Noble and Edi and they trust me and also believe in it. That’s what I needed. I’m just waiting for the release. Then people gon see.

Outlawz should be there where they need to be! A lot of people saw me with the Outlawz and they give me the respect and show me the love for it. Amsterdam is my hometown. I don’t think like a hood rapper no more, I want to go worldwide. And if I have the Outlawz on my back nobody can stop me, only God.

O4LOnline:
That’s dope. So basically you rap and produce your own music?

Yuti:
That’s correct, but I’m open for collators or rapping on beats of other people. But first of all I have to show my own thing. Time will show me how its gonna work. I get almost daily requests for beats. What can I get for a beat 50? 100? That’s not my vision. I’m talkin about regular rappers here not the big artists.

O4LOnline:
The trailer for the music video Gunz Up is out and has received a positive response and many anticipate the music video. When can we expect the video?

Yuti:
The boys who shot the video are still busy with it. They are perfectionist and me too. So everything has to be right. What I can tell you about that. Its fire bro. We shot the video in the hood I grew up and I have a history. I live now a lil bit further than my old hood. 10 minutes with the car. I’m still in Amsterdam-West.

O4LOnline:
What other projects can we expect with yourself and the Outlawz?

Yuti:
All I can say about that is, every time I meet Outlawz we say “see you soon” to each other.

O4LOnline:
What are your thoughts from watching the trailer and teasers How do you feel about the Tupac biopic?

Yuti:
Before I saw the teaser I always wondered why there is no Pac movie? Finally I read the big news that its coming! The teaser is already huge! I’m feeling it.

O4LOnline:
Where can you be found on social media?

Yuti:
I have two Instagram’s @yuti_020 and @yutibeatz and Twitter @yutibeatz.
